Drugs myths and truths

Focusing on personal wellness means taking preventive actions that can lead you to stay healthy. Most likely, you have learned from personal experience that how well you do in your life is directly related to your mental and physical health. This personal wellness is based on your choices about drugs, alcohol, tobacco and so forth. The key to staying healthy is making decisions that are in your best interest. It is important to remember that most teens face important choices on these issues. You are not the only one.

Many people start using drugs because they have problems with their mind. But is important to know that with life’s ups and downs, no one is happy all of the time. Don’t think that only you have problems. You can target positive mental health by finding ways to feel good about who you are and what you are doing right now. To hope for a better future and to build resistance to cope with life’s setbacks. Another important thing is to address problems directly instead of avoiding them through substance or activity abuse. An important part of addressing the problems is talking about them with those who care about you. At the end of the day: these habits are more of a hell for your loved ones than for yourself.
