Christmas at Hogwarts (pt. 2)

Hello! Did you miss me?! :D I am sorry this is late, but I am still not feeling well, and no, I have NOT been eating kitkats lately. I want to thank every one who has commented and read my Hogwarts quizzes, and the sad one that concerned the Hogwarts quiz.

Rest assured, i believe that I will not quit this, and I will perservere in the name of all things concerning magic and love. BUT, I might take longer to update after year 4 is over. I'll put the rest into the parting words.

  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. Okay, I hope I haven't kept y'all waiting long...
  2. So, how did y'all like part 1? Not too short, I hope? I might need some help with my next editions, so I'll put my email in the parting words... hopefully some RP doesn't start spamming me...
  3. Okay, are you ready? Because after this, the real thing begins. Really. Okay, I'll stop chatting and let you open your Christmas gifts now...Alex sent something...
  4. You sat on your bed, surrounded by gifts from your mum, dad, Ender, Sondra, and even a cousin who is attending Beauxbatons. Your mum sent you a broomstick care package, “For your broom, when you get it,” She wrote. Your father’s gift was the broom. “It’s the best on the market. Everyone wants one of these! I even heard Harry got one, so why not my little girl?” You were mesmerized by the shine of the Nimbus 2000, the way it fit perfectly into your hands. You made a mental note to thank your father later- after you won the first Quidditch match.
  5. Elizabeth wandered over to your bed. She watched, bemused, as you tore open a long, rectangular box. Her jaw dropped when you took of the lid. “Is that…what I think it is?” You glance up, nervous. “Quinn’s making me try out for Seeker after break ends. He cleared it with Professor Dumbledore ages ago, and Dad sent this. He’s always spoiling me.” Elizabeth stared, awestruck, at the broom. “______, this is the best broom there is. Have you any idea how much this must have cost your father?” You shook your head. “Galleons, my dear, galleons. I’m not talking about sixty galleons, the price of an old broom, like a Cleensweep, I’m talking hundreds of galleons, seven, at the least.” “Seven…hundred…galleons?” You gazed at your Nimbus 2000. “Wow.” Elizabeth laughed. “Yeah, your dad definitely spoils you, all right.”
  6. You went down to breakfast as a happy witch. And, there in the Great Hall was a (semi) pleasant surprise. As soon as you crossed through the doorway, Harry, Ron, Hailey, Stella, and a few of your other friends popped out from behind the doors. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ________!” They shouted. You screamed, and dropped your Nimbus. “Good morning to you too,” You laughed, and bent over to pick up your new broomstick, but Ron beat you to it. “You too?” He groaned. “Well, how do you expect me to play for my House team if I don’t have a broom?” You said. Harry’s jaw dropped. “What, YOU’RE the new Ravenclaw Seeker?” You blushed. “Oops,” you mumbled. “You got that right,” Ron gazed enviously at your broom. “I’ll let you ride it after breakfast, if you guys will join me on the field,” You offered. Ron grinned. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” “Same here,” Harry agreed. You laughed. “Great! Now, Harry, maybe you can help me with some of those terrifying moves Oliver has you practicing.”
  7. You enjoy fun games of exploding snap with Fred and George, and exchange Muggle and wizard views of Christmas with Harry, Ron, and the twins. You feel the steady gaze of someone watching you, and look up. Professor Dumbledore smiles at you, and nods. You smile uncertainly back, and focus on the boys. Harry was losing horribly to Ron at wizard’s chess, mostly due to Percy’s terrible advice. You let out a peal of laughter when one of Percy’s moves actually cost Ron a bishop. “No!” Ron roared. “Percy, do me a favor, will you?” “Sure, what?” “Don’t help Harry.” Percy looked offended. “Well, I’m sorry if I’m not the best at wizard’s chess. I’m doing the best I can to help, alright Ron?” You grinned at Harry. “Hey, Ron, how about I play against you? I’ve been playing since I was five.” Ron grinned. “What does the winner get?” You thought for a minute, and smirked. “The LOSER has to tell everyone here his”- “Or her,” Ron interjected, “-their most embarrassing moment.” Ron stared. Fred and George roared with laughter. “You have to play, Ron!” Fred grinned. “You made a deal, little brother. Now you have to follow through.” Ron gritted his teeth. “Fine. I- I’ll do it.” His older brothers cheered. “On one condition, though.” You stared, doubtful. Ron bared his teeth. “That if you lose, you have to let me ride on your broom”- “No fair!” You protest. “I told you, you can ride it later!” “-every weekend you don’t have a match.” “What?! You can just use Harry’s! You live in the same dorm! I live on the other side of the castle!” Ron grinned. “You have to, _____, or you don’t get to know my most embarrassing moment.”
  8. “Come on, Ron, we had a deal.” You grinned, as Ron beat his head against the table. “It was only a game, Ron, honestly.” Ron looked up at you. “Do I have to tell everyone?” You pondered a moment. “No, it doesn’t have to be everyone.” Fred and George groaned. “Aw, _____, it would have been priceless?” “Please, at least just us?” You shook your head. “Sorry, I’ve made up my mind. I’ll embarrass him, but not that much.” Ron blew out a sigh of relief. You smiled. “Come on, Ron, we’ve got to talk about that moment.” Ron suddenly began to panic. “Oh, um, okay, I’ll see you in the common room, Harry.” Harry grinned at you, and pulled another exploding cracker with Percy.
  9. You and Ron walked through the corridors until you stopped at Gryffindor Tower. “I, uh, thought you might like to see where I spend my free time,” Ron muttered. He says the password (me: I am not going to tell you…’cause I don’t know XD), and followed you up the stairs. “Wow,” you gaze around you at all of the red and gold. “Well, this is…different.” Ron shoves his hands into his jeans pockets. “Yeah, well, each House is different from each other, you know.” You look at Ron. “Yeah, I do know.” Ron opens his mouth, thinks better of it, and closes it. “So, why’d we come here?” You both run to the armchair by the fireplace, but Ron gets there first; you don’t realize that until you sit down. Ron’s face turns completely red, and you scoot over so you’re both sitting on the chair. Suddenly, Fred and George walk in, see you and Ron, squished together on the chair, and grin. “Hey, you two probably haven’t noticed yet, but you’re under a piece of mistletoe.” One twin calls. You and Ron jerk your heads up, then back down to look at each other. “This should be interesting.” Ron’s brothers snicker, and walk up to their dormitory. You and Ron stare at each other for what seems like forever. Ron quickly gives you a peck on the cheek. You glare at him, and put your hands on his shoulders. “That was NOT a kiss, Ronald.” He stares at you, gobsmacked. You both lean in, and you close your eyes. Your lips meet, and you pull away a few beautiful moments later. You both stare into each other’s eyes. “That was a kiss,” you say softly.
  10. You yawn, and lay your head against Ron’s shoulder. He puts his arm awkwardly yet protectively around you, and runs his hands through your soft, long, golden- brown hair. You smile, content, and watch the fire. “How about I tell you how I feel right now?” Ron whispers. You look up at him and smile. “Sure. I’ll take that instead of your most embarrassing moment.”
  11. Ron smiled. “I feel…like the happiest eleven- year- old boy ever.” “Ditto,” you agreed. “Except, I’m a girl, not a boy.” Ron laughed. “Yeah, this’d be awkward if you were otherwise.” You both laughed, and jumped when the door opened. “Oh, hey, _____,” Neville blushes, and you grin. “Hey there, Neville. How was the library? Did you find that book you were looking for?” Neville shook his head. “No, I’m going back tomorrow, though.” Ron grunted, and Neville took that as his cue to leave.
  12. You and Ron sit on the armchair for a few awkward moments. You look at each other, up at the mistletoe, and Ron grins. You lean forward, and touch foreheads with Ron. You turn your head up a smidge, and you’re snogging again. You pull away, tilt your head back, and laugh. Ron grins. “I used to hate the Christmas season, because my parents would get all mushy and stuff, but now I think I know why they acted that way.” You stick out your tongue. “To annoy you?” Ron hoots. “No, because they loved each other.” You beam, and take hold of his hand. “Well, I’m counting this as my best Christmas and birthday ever.” Ron smiles. “Same here. Except, without the birthday part.” You hear a clock chime eight, and you start to panic. “I’ve got to go back to my common room; my Prefect, Elizabeth, will be looking for me.” Ron gestures. “Okay, I understand. You have a life besides us Gryffindor’s.” You giggle, and wave goodbye as you walk to the door. “See you tomorrow?” Ron calls. You give him two thumbs up. “Sure!” You reply. You’re down the stairs and almost to the door when something (or someone) knocks you over.
  13. “Ouch!” You cry out in pain as your face meets the carpeted stone steps. “Sorry!” Someone says out of nowhere. “Wh- who’s there?” You touch your nose, and wince; you think it may be broken. “It’s me, I’m just- oh, sorry, lemme just…” Suddenly, Harry appeared out of nowhere. “Where the heck did you come from?!” Harry shushed you angrily. “Don’t be so loud! I’m going to look for Nicholas Flamel in the library.” “But I thought you looked everywhere?” “Not in the Restricted Section…” Harry smiled nervously. “Hermione’s idea.” He said quickly. You stared at him in shock. “I’m going with you,” You decided after a moment’s thought. “No you’re not.” Harry said sternly. “I’m not going to let Ravenclaw lose any more House points because of me.” “Harry, that’s…sweet…and all, but I have a mind of my own. I don’t need anyone to boss me around.” “But you chose Ron. Again.” You stand there, taken aback. “I- what?” Harry glared at you, emotionally pained. “I saw you, ______, don’t try to say it never happened.” You glare at Harry. “Oh, please, like I would! It isn’t that I chose Ron, it’s because Fred and George…mentioned the mistletoe…and it- I”- harry cut you off. “You don’t have to explain. I can tell that you didn’t really choose my best mate over me.”
  14. You sighed. “Now, are we going or not?” Harry glared at you again. “I’m still considering whether or not I should send you off to Ravenclaw tower.” You rolled your eyes. “Well, I made up my mind, and I’m coming with you. If I lose points for Ravenclaw, then that’s what happens. It’s my choice, Harry, not yours.” Reluctantly, Harry covers me with a cloak-type material. “What is this?” You ask him. “It’s an invisibility cloak. I got it for Christmas. Don’t know who from.” You nod, and walk in silence, until you see the doors to the library. You pull out your wand and whisper, “Alohamora,” You turn back to face Harry. “We’re in,”
  15. You try to focus on making as less noise as possible, but the fact that it was dark wasn’t helping. “I can’t see,” You hiss to Harry and trip over a chair leg. You bite your lip, and scream inside. “Here, take this,” Harry hands you a lantern, already lit. “Tell me: how long have you had this?” “Um, the whole time?” You stare at him and shake your head. “What?” “Nothing,” You reply, stifling a giggle. Harry rolled his eyes, and glanced around the room. “Oh, right,” You mutter, and face the front again. You and Harry, under his cloak, walk quickly and quietly to the back, this time without tripping over any chairs. You open the “gate” that separates the Restricted Section, and decide to split up. “It’ll be fine, Harry. I won’t be far.” You slip out from under the cloak, with only your wand. “Meet me back here if anyone comes along,” Harry whispers, and you nod in agreement.
  16. I scanned the bookshelves for any information regarding Nicholas Flamel. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You then hear screaming, and a crash. Filch’s voice fills in the small stretch of silence. You run back to the gate, and wait for Harry. Something covers your mouth, and you start, and then realize its Harry. “Shhh! Quick, before Filch catches us!” You hide under the invisibility cloak, and run out of the library, away from Filch. You and Harry almost run into Snape and Professor Quirrel, but Harry leads you in the opposite direction. “In here,” he pants. We run into the room, and take off the cloak. I look around us, and notice a large, mirror-like object. “What is this?” I ask in wonder. I walk up to it, and see…a family. My family. Mum and Dad, Ender, Sondra… me and Benjamin. I gasp. Benjamin was my twin brother, but he’s- he’s supposed to be dead.
