Beautiful Secrets Part 18

@Viola_Lover will be in Part 19 and will also have a reoccurring part in the future! So I decided to make this series sort of like a trilogy. There will be three parts. Beautiful Secrets, Beautiful Lies, and Beautiful Endings. Question of the day is in the results!

Alex Hart has jet black hair, icy blue eyes, a sexy collar bone, and lean muscles. Nick Martinez is more of the athletic type with his nice tan, brown hair like Zac Efron's, gray eyes like a light rainfall, pearly white teeth, and a pretty amazing body. Sam Mitchell is the adorable, quirky, shy one of the bunch with his strawberry blonde hair, green eyes like a freshly mowed lawn, and that one dimple that always gets to you. Zac Anderson is Mr. Seductive. He has dark brown hair, big brown eyes, a nice lean body, and smile that makes your legs go wobbly. Christofer Henderson and his mysterious ways eggs you on to learn more about him with his coal black hair, strange hazel eyes, distinct jaw line, and fit body.

  1. I hesitated at first to see what it was because who knows, it might be a serial killer and I didn't have any powers to protect myself with. I scrambled to my feet along with Alex and Christofer and we stood at the foot of the stairs straining to hear anything else. "You don't suppose the key wasn't working so Auntie Lisa decided to get herself in by throwing herself through the window?" Alex asked. I gave him a look. "She's crazy. But not that crazy." Christofer led the way upstairs carefully, me staying behind him, and Alex following me. All of the doors were closed upstairs and an eerie silence filled the air. In a low tone I said, "The noise came directly above us, so whatever it was is in the master bedroom." Christofer nodded and put his hand on the door knob of the master bedroom and pressed his ear against the door. He slowly turned the door knob and opened it. We entered the room quickly and I gasped.
  2. The room was clean. It was exactly the way it was before my parents left"”Since this was their room. The windows were still intact and absolutely nothing was ransacked. "This is where it came from though. I was so sure..." I walked to the window and looked through it. There, standing outside in the backyard, was a figure in a long robe. The same on that James and Michael were in. I called Alex and Christofer over and they saw him too. Normally, he would have disappeared and make me believe I was going mental, but I guess whoever it was wanted to make it clear that he was keeping an eye on us. He disappeared with a swift motion of his hand and then words started engraving themselves on the basketball court like someone was writing them in big, flaming letters. "BETRAYAL" was the final word that burned on the concrete.
  3. It slowly faded away as I sunk the word in. "Is that a friend of yours?" I asked Christofer a little harshly. "I have to go," he said urgently, not seeming to notice the hostility in my tone of voice. I followed him to the door of the bedroom and blocked his way. "You're not going anywhere until you answer my questions." Christofer eyes me and said, "Tell me one good reason why I should." In my head, he wasn't supposed to say that. "...Because I deserve to. I have a right to know if whoever that girl you were talking about was me and I also have a right to know who's been harassing me lately like that butt head at the gas station. You said at the carnival it was a prank, but I'm starting to think you knew what it was all along. So you can either try getting past me or tell me the truth." Christofer threw his head back and stared at the ceiling while biting his lip. "I can't tell you." For the first time ever, I saw he had fear in his eyes.
  4. "Why NAWHHHOOT?" Alex asked skeptically. "What are you possibly hiding that's so bad?" Christofer took a long pause before talking again. "Guys, you have to trust me on this. You don't want to know. If I was allowed to tell you, I swear I would. You don't want to get involved. Alex, you keep ______ safe because I don't know why, but that's who Oath's after. The lives of everyone I love is on the line right now and if anyone asks, tell them you have no idea what they're talking about. Now, I really need to go." Christofer started walking to the door and he left. I heard the front door shut a few seconds later. I looked at Alex and he looked just as dumbfounded as I did.
  5. "Now what have you done to get this Oath maniac to come after you?" Auntie Lisa asked after she got home from her jog and I told her everything that happened. I know Christofer told me not to tell anyone, but this was Auntie Lisa we were talking about. She would have found out eventually. I'd rather have her know now and be aware, than have to fill her in later when we're imprisoned in a cell or something. "I haven't done anything!" I said in my defense. "Are you sure this Christofer kid isn't mental?" She asked. I nodded while Alex said, "He's associated with Oath." "And you kids are friends with him? Did you ask him why he's associated with him in the first place?" "That seemed to slip my mind while we were questioning him," I said, slightly embarrassed. "But Auntie Lisa, you cannot tell anybody. That's like committing suicide," I warned. "Don't worry, I won't. I swear, if that man lays one of his fingers on you I will chop his wiener off."
  6. I was up all night with Alex Googling and trying to find out everything we could about Oath. It was hard, considering that we only had his first name and the city he lived in. "We're not going to find anything about him on Google," Alex said. "Why not?" "Because I doubt a man that sounds like Oath would spend his nights tweeting what he's doing and updating his status on Facebook to all of his friends," he replied with a tired smile. "I guess," I said, glancing at the clock. It was 12:57 A.M. "It's late. You should go to sleep," Alex said, followed by a yawn. "No, let's look up Christofer," I said, trying to sound more awake. I typed in Christofer Henderson into Google and scanned the pages. Nothing but people with the same name of him. My head was resting on top of my arms and I struggled to keep my eyes open. My eye lids felt heavier every minute that passed until I couldn't lift them up any longer. I was half awake, half sleeping. I felt Alex move the stray hair away from my face and trace my hand with his finger gently. I heard him close the laptop and get off the bed, probably to put it away. I remember being lifted off the bed and then put back in it, the blanket covering my body and my head resting on a pillow. "Goodnight, Princess." And then the door shut.
  7. I woke up in Alex's room in a haze. At first I freaked out because I wasn't 100% sure why I was there in the first place until I remembered. I scanned the room for Alex, but he wasn't there. I know he didn't climb into bed with me because he probably thought it was uncomfortable so I checked the floor too if he decided to crash there. Nope. I hopped out of his bed, made it for him, and peeked outside of the door. I looked behind me to check the time and saw it was 11:7 A.M. I could hear some noises downstairs so I guessed Auntie Lisa was preparing breakfast or something. I put on some socks since my feet were nearly frozen and top toed downstairs. Alex and Auntie Lisa were at the table eating. "So this Oath lunatic, what exactly does he want with my niece?" She asked. "I don't really know. Christofer said he didn't know either so I guess we'll have to find that out in the future for now," Alex replied. "I want to talk to Christofer," Auntie Lisa demanded. I walked out from eavesdropping and said, "Trust me, if he won't tell us he won't tell you." I redid my ponytail and took a seat across Auntie Lisa and smiled at Alex. "You cooked these pancakes yourself?" I asked her. She nodded proudly. "I should really have a career in the food industry."
  8. After breakfast was finished, I went upstairs and caught up with Alex who was playing with my old Legos. "Hey, Sleeping Beauty," he said with a grin. "Do you see what I did there? Ironically, Sleeping Beauty is a princess and I call you princess all the time. Am I smart or what?" I laughed and said, "Thanks for putting me to bed. And letting me sleep in your bed." Alex stopped playing and looked at me. "No problem. That's just part of the amazing person I am." I groaned. I thought he grew out o that 'full of himself' stage. "Where did you sleep last night though?" I asked him. "On the couch in the loft here. It's surprisingly not as uncomfortable as it looks." I sat down next to him and started constructing my own little Lego creation. "What time should we go to Nick's party?" I asked him, trying to strike up a new conversation. "I think 7:55 would be an appropriate time," he replied. "That's a very peculiar time to choose," I said, holding my Lego tower up so that it didn't fall down. "So I've heard. And then after Nick's party you have to help me set up for my little date," Alex said. "Wait, tonight? Wow, when you meant after Nick's party you really meant it. Wouldn't that be a little late?" Alex shrugged. "The later, the more romantic. The more romantic, the more of the chance she'll like me back." "So what time then?" I inquired. "10:26?" He questioned. I just nodded. I could really care less about Alex and his little crush's date. Okay that sounded mean, but really. I had so much drama going on right now it's as if Ryan Seacrest is making my life a secret show that I don't know of paying people to purposely make it worst. Recap: I'm falling for several guys, I'm having weird dreams about Christofer, whatever is in Mrs. Bonet's confidential cabinet is tainting me, oh, and someone's out there wanting to kill me. And during all of this, I still haven't developed my first power. "It'll all get better," Alex said just above a whisper. "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear your thoughts." I looked at him and sighed deeply. "I hope it does."
  9. It just turned 6, and after passing the time reading, going on the internet, eating, and hanging with Alex, it was finally time to take a shower and get ready for Nick's party. The warm water rained over me like a storm and I started thinking everything over. I don't know what it is about showers but they always open up my mind and make me think about everything that's been going on in my life. Then I remembered I forgot to get Nick a present. Holy freaking fudge balls. Does he still want a present? I mean, I was going to go to the zoo with him. And in the movies when they show the crazy parties you don't see a corner just for presents, and you definitely don't see any cake either. I did my hair quickly and got out of the shower. I blow dried my hair and when that was finished I picked out my clothes. I stood in front of my now neat closet, deciphering what I should wear. Alex suggested a romper, and my mind was kind of heading in that direction, but I would imagine that it was going to be cold since it was Winter, and considering I was going to be out in the park late at night, I didn't want to risk it. I rummaged through my closet until I found a simple, classy, yet casual red dress. I put on floral stockings and went for Bohemian waves with my straightener. I was proud in what I accomplished in so little time since I did get out of the shower early to figure out what I was going to give Nick as a present.
  10. Hygiene comes first, I thought. I brushed my teeth and then put some Sweet Pea spray that I got at Bath & Body Works that smelled super amazing, oh my goodness. But anyways, Nick's present. I would assume Alex would know what he wanted since they were of the same gender so I decided to go and ask him. I rapped on his door slightly and after two knocks I heard him say to come in. I opened the door and stood at the foot of his doorway with my mouth agape. He was standing there shirtless with two shirts on his bed and he looked like he was trying to figure out which one to wear. He was starting to get some abs; he wasn't all the way there, but he was close. Oh sweet Jesus, he was so gorgeous. He looked up at me and smiled. "You look great." I felt myself turn the color of my dress and I went to talk towards him but then I stumbled on the carpet. "I-um-I was wondering if you had a present for Nick," I stammered out. "Yeah. I got him a pack of Star Bursts. They're his favorite candy." "Do you mind if you put both our names on that present?" I questioned. I checked the time on my phone and there was surely not going to be any time to go to the store and get him anything. "Sure. But which shirt should I wear? Bear in mind, it's for the party and the date so it has to look fun yet sophisticated." Only a guy who really cared about what the girl thinks of him on a first day would use the word sophisticated when choosing his shirt. One shirt was a baby blue button down which would really compliment his eyes and the other one was a black v-neck which would make his eyes pop out a lot. "Are you going to wear a jacket if you wear the v-neck?" I asked. "Of course. I'm not freezing my butt off out there, hell no," he said matter of factly. I laughed, picked up the v-neck, and threw it at him. "This one. So that when you're about to kiss her, her eyes go directly to yours since it'll make them pop out." He caught it with a smile and threw it on himself. "My eyes are one of the very many traits of myself that I'm proud of."
  11. "Of course they are," I replied, making a face at him. He got a jacket from his closet and put it on while he tossed me the big bag of Star Bursts. "Are we car pooling with Zac again?" I asked as we went downstairs. "No, I talked Auntie Lisa into letting me take the BMW out." Speaking out Auntie Lisa, she was waiting for us on the couch downstairs and started fan girling when she saw us together. "You two are the cutest things in the world! Sweetheart, you look absolutely stunning. Alex dear, you look wonderful as well. Take care of my niece, okay?" She tossed Alex the keys of the car while he crossed his heart with his finger. He seems to do that a lot. I climbed in the passenger seat while breathing into my frozen fingers, trying to thaw them out. "Where's the stuff for your date?" I asked. "It's in the back. I pre-did it so that I didn't forget." He started the car and drove off. "Are you a registered driver here?" I asked. Alex grinned. "Define registered."
