Uh, if a flute is playing concert C and a trumpet matches pitch, the trumpet would be playing his/her 1st valve D, not Bb. Trumpet Bb is Concert Ab. Also, the C blues scale contains C Eb F Gb G Bb, not whatever you posted. Sounds like someone isn't a bandgeek to the extent they think they are :D
